LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- NBC interrupted the Olympics Saturday night to announce that they are reviving the hit sci-fi series Heroes in 2015.

The show has been off the air for nearly four years since ending in 2010, after a large ratings drop. The revival Heroes Reborn will air in 2015 and is slated for 13 episodes.

"The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening," said NBC entertainment president in a press release. "The show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy but we won't rule out the possibility of some of the show's original cast members popping back in."
