SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. bobsledder Lolo Jones posted an Instagram video to show her distaste for the Russian fare in the Olympic village.
The food in the Olympic village is supposed to help the athletes get the necessary nutrition for competition and there are on-site nutritionists, but Jones thinks that the food is pretty bad.
"Just pretend it's a nice, juicy steak," Jones tells herself as she forks an unidentified stew-like dish. She then looks to her teammate Jazmine Fenlator and ask, "You gonna eat your cornbread?" in reference to the 1999 movie Life.
Fenlator was a little more diplomatic, saying that the cafeteria provided a wide variety of choices. But Jones was more unfiltered, saying, "She's being PG. She's being real PG. People always ask why there's a McDonald's in the Olympic village, and I think it's clear why. There's not one in the mountain village. You just make do."
