LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Julianne Hough has already broken her pledge to stay single for one year.
Shortly after photographers spotted the 25-year-old Safe Haven actress holding hands with NHL player Brooks Laich, the two were caught in a romantic embrace at LAX on Tuesday.
Laich, a 30-year-old player for the Washington Capitals, hugged and kissed Hough before he boarded his plane.
Hough, who broke up with Ryan Seacrest last March, recently told Self magazine that she wanted to live the single life for a while longer.
"I'm a relationship girl, and I feel so grateful for the one's I've been in. They've been excellent -- I've been hurt but never angry -- and they've helped me grow," she says in the magazine's March issue. "But my goal has been to be single for an entire year."
"For now, I'm focusing on my work and my soul," she added. "I honestly don't care if I meet somebody or not. I'm just loving life on my own with my own two feet on the ground."
