SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus and Gus Kenworthy aren't the only celebrity-athlete pairs communicating over Twitter during the Winter Olympics.

When Canadian crooner Michael Buble noticed that American ice dancing siblings, Alex and Maia Shibutani, danced to his song "The Best is Yet to Come" during their weekend short program, he tweeted his support.

Alex and Maia Shibutani, affectionately known as the ShibSibs, are avid users of social media, and have been enthusiastically documenting their Sochi experience on Twitter. They both responded to Buble.

The Shibutanis told the Olympic News Service on Sunday that they love Buble's "style of music."

"It fits perfectly into the select rhythm for the short dance," they said. "Michael has such a smooth voice and it gives significant meaning as to what we are trying to do in the dance."

The pair earned ninth place after their long program on Monday night. The gold medal went to American ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White.
