Everyone seems to have their 2 cents about Michael Sam coming out, and Rush Limbaugh had to contribute his, of course.

NEW YORK, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said on his show that Michael Sam coming out was part of a "assault on heterosexuals."

Limbaugh said that since Sam came out, "The media is going to turn this guy, whether he wants to be one or not, they are going to turn him into an activist. ... They are already calling him. He's the Rosa Parks, the Martin Luther King, he's the Jackie Robinson."

He also seemed to take issue with the fact that people and the media see this as a political matter, "Why is there anything political about homosexuality? Heterosexuality has no political agenda and there is no agenda attached to it. Heterosexuality does not have activists."

He considers the politicizing of homosexuality as an assault despite the fact they are in the minority when he says, "They are under assault. Heterosexuality might be 95, 98 percent of the population -- they are under assault."

Michael Sam is a defensive lineman for the University of Missouri who came out publicly as gay on Sunday and could potentially be the first openly gay player in the NFL.
