Squirrel hides nuts in dog's fur

The squirrel did not think this strategy through.

NEW YORK, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- A squirrel tries to hide its nuts in the fur of a dog.

Squirrels are notoriously obsessive about hiding the nuts they collect but this confused squirrel thought the fur of Burmese mountain dog rather than a tree.

The squirrel can be seen trying to cover and bury his treasure in the fur on the dogs hind legs. The squirrel seemed to think better of it though because it took the nut back, presumably to find a better hiding spot.

The dog was very patient with the squirrel and let him work through the problem.
