NEW YORK, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Madame Tussauds wax museum has announced they will be taking down their wax figure of pop star Justin Bieber.

It's not due to his recent run-ins with authorities or his questionable behavior that has been widely publicized, but because the wax figure is actually crumbling apart. The adored celebrity's statue has had too much love from his fans who keep stroking and touching the figure and it has started to fall apart.

The statue in the New York City museum on West 42nd street is of a much younger 19-year-old Bieber. The statue may be replaced with a less dated replica.
