NEW YORK, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Neil Patrick Harris, who has hosted the Tony Awards for the last several years, will give way to equally popular triple threat, Hugh Jackman, when the 2014 Tony Awards air June 8.

Jackman hosted the Tony Awards from 2003 to 2005, though he joined Harris for a mock-competitive duet in 2011. This year's Tony Awards ceremony will mark Jackman's fourth time as host.

"Couldn't wait another minute," the 45-year-old Australian captioned an Instagram video announcement.

“I wanted you to be the first to know this year I’ll be hosting the Tony Awards on June 8,” Jackman says. “We’re going to be at Radio City Music Hall. See you there."

Jackman will star in the upcoming Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, so it's possible that he'll also be up for an award when the nominees are announced April 26.
