NEW YORK, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson pushed her inhibitions aside while shooting a cheeky spread for the March issue of Elle magazine.
The-24-year old Austin native covers the upcoming issue of the fashion glossy, and in it, she discloses why she took on the role of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film adaptation of author E.L. James' erotic novel.
"I don't have any problem doing anything," Johnson told the mag. "The secret is I have no shame."
However, the actress's interest to play the part had more to do with the emotional side of the character.
"Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes," she said. "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."
You can read Johnson's full interview when Elle's March issue hits newsstands on Feb.18. In the meantime, you can take a peek at some of the images from her photo shoot here.
Johnson's Fifty Shades on Grey is due in theaters on Feb. 13, 2015.
