Satya Nadella's appointment as the head of Microsoft was widely celebrated in India and covered the country's headlines. In the Times of India
, the nation's most widely read newspaper, the headline reads "India makes a power point". Splashed across the front page of the Business Standard
is "Satya Nadella named Microsoft chief executive" and the Economic Times
reads, "India will tech it from here".
In a country struggling economically, Nadella's rise to the top of a large global business brings a sense of cheer to the people of India.
