NEW DELHI, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Satya Nadella's appointment as the head of Microsoft was widely celebrated in India and covered the country's headlines. In the Times of India, the nation's most widely read newspaper, the headline reads "India makes a power point". Splashed across the front page of the Business Standard is "Satya Nadella named Microsoft chief executive" and the Economic Times reads, "India will tech it from here".

In a country struggling economically, Nadella's rise to the top of a large global business brings a sense of cheer to the people of India.
