CONCORD, N.H., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Be careful about answering that missed phone call. According to the Better Business Bureau, a number of American residents have been receiving calls from numbers that ring once and hang up.
Cell phone users who decided to return the call could end up with unwanted charges on their next bill.
The organization says calls usually come from foreign countries, like Antigua and Barbuda, with area codes like 268, 809, 876, 284 and 473.
People who call back are connected to an "adult entertainment service" that charges an international fee of $19.95 and at least $9 per minute spent on the call.

There's a name of this time of scam -- "cramming." The BBB recommends that you ignore out-of-state calls that you don't recognize and that you check your cell-phone statements for odd charges.
