EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Despite concerns about Bruno Mars' relatively short career span -- compared with previous Super Bowl performers like Bruce Springsteen and Madonna -- the 28-year-old singer delivered an energetic halftime show that attracted a record audience.

Fox said Monday that Mars' retro-inspired dance moves and Red Hot Chili Peppers collaboration attracted a record 115.3 million viewers on Sunday night.

Mars kicked off the event with "Billionaire," then moved on to “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure,” “Runaway Baby,” “Give it Away." He ended his set with “Just the Way You Are,” which was accompanied by a tribute to military families.
