NEW YORK, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Comedian Bill Murray made a grand entrance on "Late Night with David Letterman," flying and singing while dressed as Peter Pan.

Dressed in Pan's trademark green tights, tunic and hate, Murray sang a little diddy while awkwardly flying back and forth across the "Late Night" stage.

Once he was finished with his entrance, Murray told Letterman his performance was inspired by Carrie Underwood's turn as Maria in the live production of "Sound of Music."

“I feel like this is my moment,” Murray said. “They’re thinking about re-staging 'Peter Pan,' and I’m the guy.”

What do you think? Does the "Groundhog Day" actor have what it takes?
