CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- "Bachelorette" star Emily Maynard chose a non-traditional route for an engagement ring. Instead of a single ring with diamonds, her fiancé gave her a series of four stacked rings.

The reality star announced her engagement on her website and included a photo of her rings off all different shapes and sizes.

"Assuming you haven't been living under a rock, you've probably heard the news but if not, I'm here to let the cat out of the bag. I'm ENGAGED!" she wrote. "And no, it's not to someone I met on a reality show or even a dating site, but to an amazing man I met through my church, Forest Hill, in Charlotte."

"I told him I didn't want a traditional engagement ring and that I just wanted some simple bands. He went above and beyond to say the least and they couldn't be more 'me.' I got a good one," the jewelry designer wrote.

News of Maynard's engagement broke in the media earlier in the month.
