Dennis Rodman says he would trade places with Kenneth Bae

Dennis Rodman made headlines when he insinuated in an interview with CNN that American Kenneth Bae deserved to be held in captivity by North Korea.

NEW YORK, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Former NBA player Dennis Rodman says he would trade places with American Kenneth Bae who is currently held in captivity by North Korea.

In an interview with CNN Friday from a substance abuse rehabilitation clinic in the New York area, Rodman said, "I have sympathy. I don't want anyone in any country or anywhere in the world to be a hostage for something maybe they did or did not do."

He also said that he was willing to trade places with Bae the next time he visited his friend, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un.

Rodman checked himself into a rehabilitation center for alcohol abuse after his first interview regarding Bae, and the following apology in which he admitted he had been drinking.
