Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber's 38-year-old father, Jeremy Bieber, might be enabling the teen pop star's recent antics, including a drag-racing DUI, a source close to the family told the New York Daily News.
The younger Bieber was arrested Thursday after allegedly driving a rented Lamborghini under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, drag racing, resisting arrested without violence and driving without a valid license.
Papa Bieber was among those partying with his son Wednesday night at SET nightclub in Miami hours before the arrest, a source told the Daily News. Jeremy was also allegedly in the SUV caravan that blocked off traffic so Justin could take part in a drag race.
Paparazzi photos taken after Justin's arrest show the father-son duo hanging out at a Miami rental house with alcoholic beverages in tow. One day after the arrest, Jeremy took to Twitter to show support for his eldest child."His dad is a bad influence," the source said.
I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife— Jeremy Bieber (@JeremyBieber) January 24, 2014
