According to multiple reports San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman has been diagnosed with a torn left ACL and MCL that he suffered during the team’s 23-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Although the team expected the worst after Bowman was forced to leave the NFC Championship game in obvious pain, a Monday MRI confirmed the diagnosis.

At least one San Francisco player was cautiously optimistic about Bowman’s prospects.
“I'll be there every step of the way and help him out in anything he needs," said cornerback Chris Culliver, who missed the 2013 season after tearing his ACL in training camp.
In other San Francisco injury news, running back Frank Gore will undergo "minor finger surgery” and guard Mike Iupati is recovering from a broken left fibula.
