Jessica Biel was noticeably absent at Wednesday's People's Choice Awards, missing yet another event where her husband, Justin Timberlake, was front and center.

Their one-year marriage became the subject of speculation after Biel also missed the American Music Awards in November and the after-party for Timberlake's Saturday Night Live hosting gig in December.

But Timberlake put the rumors to rest, for the time being, by giving his wife a shoutout while accepting his award for Favorite Male Artist.

"I'd like to thank all the fans who voted," Timberlake said. "I'll take it -- people's champ, I love it. And I'd like to thank my beautiful wife for teaching me patience and the little things like just putting the dishes in the dish washer. It goes a long way -- fellas, you're welcome!"

But Biel hasn't just been avoiding the high-profile events: She's hardly been seen in public at all recently, prompting speculation leading to a much more joyful conclusion.

Celebrity gossip site Blind Gossip got the ball rolling with a blind item on New Year's Day matching the description of Timberlake and Biel.

"He is a very talented multi-hyphenate. She is an actress," the post teased. "Together, they are one very good-looking (and very rich) couple."

"However, they haven’t been seen together much lately. Is their marriage in trouble? No. In fact, they will be announcing in the next couple of weeks... that she is pregnant with their first child! She is already showing, which explains why she has been avoiding the cameras lately. Congratulations to the happy couple!"

One way or the other, Biel is certain to surface soon.
