Jan. 6 (UPI) --
Police in Tukwila, Wash., have arrested Mary Kay Letourneau
-- the former elementary school teacher convicted of raping her 12-year-old student Vili Fualaau -- for failing to appear in court over a suspended license case.
Letourneau, who married Fualaau in 2005, was booked into King County Jail on Monday morning. Her arrest stems from a January 2013 charge of driving on a suspended license due to unpaid traffic tickets.
Now 51, Letourneau was incarcerated from 1997 to 2004 after pleading guilty to child rape. Letourneau and Fualaau married after her release from prison, when she was 43 and he was 22.
