Lea Michele posts bikini photo from Mexico getaway

The "Glee" star traveled to Mexico with best friend Jonathan Groff.

Jan. 5 (UPI) -- It's been a rough year for Glee star Lea Michele, who spent the latter half of 2013 grieving for late boyfriend Cory Monteith. But the 27-year-old actress and singer got 2014 off to a great start when she hit Mexico for a week-long getaway with best friend and occasional costar Jonathan Groff.

Michele shared a number of snaps of their beach vacation, including one particularly cheeky photo of herself in a bikini.

"What an amazing week in Mexico... ❤️ New day. New year. #Bringit2014," she captioned the image.

"I ❤️ Mexico! Best vacation with my best friend..." she added in another photo of Groff, lounging around what appears to be a private pool. Michele, who will release her first solo studio album in March, also wished her fans and followers a Happy New Year.
