Olivia Munn is hardly the monster on set a recent report made her out to be, said 'The Newsroom' creator Aaron Sorkin.

Aaron Sorkin has dismissed a report claiming some serious tension on the set of The Newsroom between himself and star Olivia Munn.

The Newsroom creator slammed the Radar online "exclusive" that claims he and star Jeff Daniels are sick of Munn's "know-it-all" attitude.

“Olivia and Aaron’s relationship soured so completely during season two of The Newsroom that it created a poisonous atmosphere on the set,” a cast insider told Radar.

“It affected the entire show because Olivia was written to be such a prominent player this season," the report continued. "But by the end of the long shoot, Aaron and Jeff were barely speaking to her, and you can expect that in the third season, her role will be greatly diminished.”

Sorkin waved away the report, praising Munn and her on-set professionalism.

HBO has yet to officially announce a third season for The Newsroom, which wrapped up its second season in September.

Daniels had tweeted out that the show was definitely returning, but later clarified that no official date had been set as Sorkin and HBO worked out a schedule.

"The story bears no resemblance to reality," Sorkin said. "Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO and especially by me."
