Robin Roberts and Amber Lagin chose a romantic holiday getaway to ring in the new year.
In the days before revealing her relationship with "long-time girlfriend" Lagin, Roberts posted several sun-drenched images of herself enjoying the surf and sand while vacationing on Turks and Caicos.
"Grateful to be with loved ones," she wrote. "Merry Christmas and to all a good night. #SandBetweenMyToes."
And: "My loved ones and I thank the beautiful people of Turks & Caicos for your hospitality. #SweetSerenity."
The Good Morning America anchor, 53, posted a moving message to her Facebook page on Sunday, looking back over a difficult year that included a difficult recovery from a transplant to treat bone cancer.
Also included was a nonchalant reference to Lagin, 39, a massage therapist with whom she has been in a relationship for 10 years.
"I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together," she wrote.
Roberts is a survivor of breast cancer and last year was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, for which she took a medical leave from her post on GMA to receive a bone marrow transplant.
