Five people were shot and killed and two people were left injured in separate incidents on Christmas Day in New Jersey.

Three men were shot and two left injured at Slick's Go-Go Bar in Irvington around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when a bouncer tried to stop an armed man from entering.

Pierre Clervoyant, Sr., said his son, Pierre Clervoyant, Jr., 34, and bouncer Woodley Daniel, 32, were killed.

A third man, identified as Mushir Cureton, 27, was thought to be a friend of the shooter.

Police say the violence began when Woodley gave the suspect a pat-down and felt the gun. The suspect then stepped back and shot him, before also shooting and killing Clervoyant. They said it was not clear if Cureton was shot by accident or killed by an armed security person.

Two others were wounded and taken to University Hospital in Newark. Police say the suspects left in a grey sedan, and a reward of $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

In a separate incident less than a mile away in Newark, two teens were shot and killed around 10 p.m. A third victim is in critical condition.
