Dec. 25 (UPI) -- Nicia McNelley and Quinta Johnson, of Keystone Heights, Fla., welcomed a giant bundle of joy just before Christmas this year.

McNelley, already a mother of two, gave birth to son Isaiah Lawrence Johnson by C-section on Friday, and was stunned to find out that her newborn was the second-largest baby born in the state this year.

“Me and his dad were shocked when he came out and they said 14 pounds, we could not believe it,” she said of her 14-pound, 22.5-inch Christmas present.

Isaiah was taken to the NICU with low blood sugar shortly after his birth, though he made it home for Christmas. His parents said they think he might have a football career in his future.

"Me and his dad sat and thought, you know, maybe at the most 10 [pounds], maybe 12 [pounds]. But no... not 14," she said.
