Dec. 19 (UPI) -- LeBron James, playing on a bad ankle, was so frustrated with teammate Mario Chalmers' performance in Wednesday night's game against the Pacers, that he lashed out at the point guard during a third-quarter timeout.

Chalmers had played poorly, missed a three-pointer, turned over the ball and committed two fouls, all within two minutes. James took his frustration out on the bench, and had to be held back by Udonis Haslem.

James reportedly said "my bad" to Chalmers later on in the fourth quarter, and took to Twitter to address the confrontation after the game.

"I love @mchalmers15 like a blood brother! I was wrong and apologized to him!" James wrote. "We good and will always be good. I ride wit him any & every day."

"All good big bro @KingJames," Chalmers responded. "At the end of the day we brothas and nothin gonna change that."

“Lot of emotion in this game,” coach Erik Spoelstra told the Miami Herald. “That’s been our nature. I’d prefer to see that nature more often. It sparked more communication with everyone. More life.”

“We’d like to play every game like this," he added.
