Several buildings on Harvard University's campus were evacuated Monday morning on reports that explosives had been found.

The university sent out an alert on its official Twitter account, warning that the Science Center, Thayer, Sever and Emerson buildings on the school's Cambridge, Mass. campus may have been targeted.

Alerts stressed the reports of explosives were unconfirmed and that there had been no reports of explosions. Harvard and Cambridge police were on scene investigating.

Update: 11:00 a.m. EST

Harvard officials have given the all clear, with early reports suggesting the report of explosives could have been a hoax.
