But Brown won't go to jail just yet, because he's still in a court-ordered residential treatment facility for his anger management. Judge Brandlin decided Monday not to sent Brown directly to the pokey because his rehab facility commended the singer on his progress in therapy.
"The clinical and medical team have witnessed very positive change in Mr. Brown since his psychotropic medications have been changed and he has been taken off medical marijuana," the facility's program director said. "His ability to emotionally regulate himself has improved markedly."
"I'm pleased that he's doing well," Brandlin said.
According to court filings, Brown just wrapped up a 12-hour ropes course. He also participates in daily individual and group therapy sessions.
Brown will return to court in February for a hearing on possible jail time following rehab.
