Though no one had bid on the tan SUV at the time, it garnered four prospective buyers by the end of November. According to Wasilla's public works director, Archie Giddings, the so-called mayor-mobile went to an unnamed woman from Fairbanks for $10,300.
Giddings described her as a "Palin admirer."
“This was her mayor-mobile,” Rupright said last month. “Sarah had that for the rest of the time she was mayor, so we look at it this way. When you stop and think of who drove that, … why not get the biggest bang for the dollar for the city?"
