Dec. 10 (UPI) -- While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss addressed concerns that she lets her mother get away with too much.

“As her daughter, it’s my job to make sure the she’s good. She made sure that I was good growing up, I’m gonna make sure that she’s good,” Burruss said when confronted about her mother's behavior.

“I don’t care if she doesn’t like my relationship. That’s my mom,” Kandi said getting emotional.“I don’t care what y’all have to say. That’s my mama… she can have whatever she wants, ‘cause that’s my mama.”

Burruss's comments came a day after Mama Joyce was seen getting into a fight with Burruss's assistant, Carmon, while the two were shopping for a wedding dress during Sunday's episode of RHOA.

It all started when Mama Joyce objected to Carmon being present for the event, which she thought should have been exclusively for family and accused her of sleeping with Burruss's fiance Todd Tucker.

The women then got into a heated argument and in the end Mama Joyce had to be restrained from throwing a shoe at Carmon.

“You have to make a choice that you’re not going to be putting up with this,” Carmon told Burruss regarding her mother. “I feel so sorry for you. She’ll be running your life forever!”

RHOA airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
