Third-time Saturday Night Live
host Paul Rudd
brought baby-faced charm and Judd Apatow
-approved sense of humor to his hosting duties this weekend, though he admitted that he's usually "overshadowed by a musical guest," referring to his previous episodes with Beyonce and Paul McCartney
"But tonight, finally, it's the 'Paul Rudd Show," the actor said, as the frenzy-inducing boys of One Direction stepped on stage.
Luckily, Rudd came prepared with his own musical entourage -- the men of Anchorman 2.
Though Will Ferrell, David Koechner and Steve Carell seemed prepared for a showdown, the famed San Diego news team were able to join forces with 1D for an a capella rendition of "Afternoon Delight."
