Nov. 8 (UPI) --
Auto driver Danica Patrick
didn't seem too thrilled when comedian and actor Jay Mohr made jokes at her expense Friday during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards.
Patrick was seated near the stage with her boyfriend, fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. because she was nominated for the Sprint fan award, which she won.
"Danica, I hope you are not too uncomfortable tonight — I know you're not used to being this close to the front," Mohr joked.
Patrick and Stenhouse didn't seem to find Mohr's jokes funny as he continued to pepper the two with barbs.
"Ricky knows what we all know — sometimes the guy has to step aside and let the woman lead … just ask Kevin Harvick," Mohr said.
Patrick made history this season by being the first woman to win the pole for the Daytona 500, though throughout much of the season she struggled in her races.
