Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth exchanging 'flirty' texts

Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus may have told Cosmopolitan that she's having "the best time" ever since breaking up with Australian hunk Liam Hemsworth, but according to a source, the two are eying the possibility of getting back together.

According to Us Weekly not only is the Hunger Games star trying to reconcile with the "Wrecking Ball" singer, but the two have been exchanging "flirty" texts in the meantime.

"She's confused about how she feels," a source told Us Weekly, while "[Hemsworth] is telling friends he misses her."

But rumors of their alleged reconciliation might be just that. Cyrus is quoted in the December issue of Cosmopolitan saying that she needs "to treat my music like a relationship -- give it my time and all the attention it deserves -- and that’s my main love right now."

"This is the best time of my life," she added. "I'm not going to look back on it and be like, 'I wish I hadn’t been dwelling over a breakup,' you know?"

However, Cyrus did hint at the possibility of wanting a new boyfriend via Twitter on Wednesday.
