Toronto Mayor Rob Ford allegedly stole someone's seat at a Bills game

Canadian singer Matt Mays claimed the embattled Toronto mayor stole his seat during Sunday's Buffalo Bills game in Toronto.

Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who is unquestionably the world's most entertaining mayor of 2013, made a relatively subdued appearance at the Buffalo Bills game against the Atlanta Falcons in Toronto on Sunday.

The 44-year-old mayor, who wore a Fred Jackson jersey, looked unusually stone-faced in the stands, though his presence "caused a ripple" of fans looking to get a glimpse of their city's troubled leader.

Ford posed with some fans, who started lining up for photographs. But the first half of the game turned into what CTV News described as a "somewhat unmanageable mob scene."

It was especially inconvenient for Canadian rocker Matt Mays, who told The National Post that he was stopped by an usher on the way to his seat.

“The poor usher guy was like, ‘dude, I don’t really know what to tell you right now -- Mayor Rob Ford is in your seat, bro,’” Mays said. “It was kind of entertaining.”

Mays tweeted from the scene:

The mayor eventually left at halftime, when security escorted him away from the crowds and onto an elevator.
