For the second year in a row, the publication brought in fashion royalty to take the reins on the December/January issue of the magazine, The Telegraph reported. Last year's guest editor was American fashion designer and film director Tom Ford.
"We handed over the running of this issue to a woman who, throughout our working together, has proved to be the exact opposite of her public image," editor in chief of French Vogue Emmanuelle Alt said of Victoria Beckham. "She is spontaneous with a great sense of humour, humble yet at the same time driven by a healthy ambition. She is a perfectionist, like everyone who is passionate about their work."
Victoria Beckham called the guest editorship "an incredible honor."
"Working with Emmanuelle Alt and her team was both exciting and inspiring and I am so proud of what we have created," she said.
Victoria Beckham drew a little inspiration from home when it came time to shoot the cover of the magazine. Husband and soccer star David Beckham graces the two covers along with the guest editor herself.
"We've always been -- and I include the children in this -- amazingly happy about the success David has achieved. All those matches where we stood cheering on the terraces. David and I have been through so much together. We've had our ups and downs, but we're so proud of each other," Victoria Beckham said.
