Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Former Fleetwood Mac songwriter, keyboardist and singer Christine McVie said she'd like to rejoin the band after recently appearing with them onstage in London.
McVie was only supposed to play a couple shows with the band for their September shows at the O2 in London, but it looks like she caught the performing bug again.
"I like being with the band, the whole idea of playing music with them," she told The Guardian. "I miss them all. If they were to ask me I would probably be very delighted … but it hasn't happened so we'll have to wait and see."
"It was amazing, like I'd never left. I climbed back on there again and there they were, the same old faces on stage," she added.
McVie quit the band in 1998 after 28 years, saying she thought she "was just music'd [sic] out."
Singer Stevie Nicks has previously expressed a desire for McVie to rejoin the band, but guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has said he's worried her return would steal the limelight away from the band."I suffered from some kind of delusion that I wanted to be an English country girl, a Sloane Ranger or something … and it took me 15 years to realize that it's not really what I wanted at all," she said.
Fleetwood Mac is on break from their tour after bassist John McVie was diagnosed with cancer.
