TMZ reports Browne specialized in psychic detective work and focused on trying to solve missing people cases.

According to her son, Chris, Browne died in San Jose surrounded by family and friends.

"Sylvia graduated today. She was surrounded by family and friends. What a legacy. She shared so much. We will carry on her knowledge with hypnosis and Journey of the Soul and her many books. What a great party they must be having on the Other Side. Bless everyone," read a message posted on her Facebook page.

While Browne's predictions often had varying results, she was most recently criticized for announcing that Amanda Berry had died after she went missing in 2003. When Berry was found alive earlier this year, Browne passed off the prediction as a mistake.
