But the word of caution did little to disuade Channing Tatum -- who showed flexibility of a different nature in last year's Magic Mike -- from attempting the "epic split" between two moving food carts on the set of 21 Jump Street's forthcoming sequel.
"I've had my ups and downs. Being an undercover cop is what made me what I am today," Tatum says in character. "Surviving high school was no easy task. Neither is being a college freshman at my age. But because of this, my body is now engineered to defy the laws of physics, and the mindset to master the most epic of splits."
As you might guess, his split isn't quite as epic as Van Damme's.
