Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Skier Lindsey Vonn has spent the last several months recovering from knee surgery to repair the ACL and MCL she tore back in February. Now, another crash during training at Colorado's Copper Mountain has threatened to derail her racing return at next week's FIS Beaver Creek World Cup.

"Lindsey crashed earlier this morning while training at Copper Mountain in Colorado. She was not admitted to the hospital and is currently being evaluated by Dr. Sterett back in Vail," her rep said in a statement.

The reigning Olympic downhill gold medalist was reportedly taken away on a sled and will undergo and MRI on her knee.

Vonn had also planned to compete at the Winter Olympics in Sochi this February.

"We have no reason to believe it's anything significant right now," U.S. Ski Team spokesman Tom Kelly told reporters on Tuesday.
