Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Nine days shy of the 50th anniversary of the Nov. 25, 1963 funeral of President John F. Kennedy, more than 100 buglers gathered at Arlington National Cemetery to play Taps Saturday.

As part of "A Bugle Call Remembered: Taps at the Funeral of President John F. Kennedy," the musicians gathered at the Old Amphitheater early in the day to play Taps together, The Washington Post reported.

They later spread out across the grounds of the cemetery and at noon played in unison for everyone buried at Arlington.

The 50th anniversary of Kennedy's death is Friday.
