Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The Chevron worker killed in a fire at the company's refinery in Pascagoula, Miss., Friday was identified as 49-year-old Tonya Graddy.

Graddy, known as "Toni" by friends and co-workers, worked at the refinery for five years as an operator. Her job was to manage the flow of crude through the plant.

Roxann Horton said she knew the mother and grandmother, and her family for several years.

“A good family they’d do anything for you, anything you ask they would be there,” Horton told WALA-TV, Pensacola, Miss. “She was just an outgoing friendly person someone you would want to be around someone you would think about. I was just kind of in shock because I actually work in Pascagoula across from the Chevron Refinery and you always hear of things happening and you never want to hear the worst especially to someone you know.”

Graddy's death is the fifth in the refinery's 50 years of operation, the last one taking place in 2003 when a construction worker fell from scaffolding.
