Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Joaquin Phoenix, who clearly subscribes to the notion that "age is just a number," has been spotted out with a new girlfriend, 19-year-old DJ Allie Teilz.
Photographers caught the enigmatic 39-year-old actor and his blonde teenage girlfriend touring the Italian capital while Phoenix promoted his film Her at the Rome International Film Festival.
Teilz spoke to Bullett a few months ago about her childhood and her music career, telling the magazine that she started DJing in New York City at age 16 by lying about her age.
"On Thursdays after school I would go from school to the airport, fly to Vegas, work the shows from 6am Friday until Sunday at 2am, before school," she said. "I had a complete double life and lied about my age, obviously, but I was really getting involved in the music world and starting to meet people."
