(UPI) -- Beset with rumors that celebrities don't want to be seen interviewing with a Real Housewife, Bethenny Frankel's talk show hasn't performed well in the ratings since it debuted last year.

Executive producer Ellen DeGeneres later denied reports that she wanted to distance herself from Frankel's supposed sinking ship.

But the 43-year-old Frankel, whose failed marriage to Jason Hoppy is often tabloid fodder, said haters only fuel her ambition.

"It's been intense. People have been critical, hoping that we fail," Frankel said. "But we're finally hitting our stride. Haters are our motivators."

Despite the critics, Frankel seems determined to grow her personal brand Skinnygirl, a line of low-calorie alcoholic drinks. She just debuted Skinnygirl Sparkers, a non-alcoholic range of flavored sparking waters.

"I’m just not a person who looks at what other people are doing," Frankel told Entertainment Weekly.

I do my own thing. Not to say that I don’t respect the businesses that so many people are running whether it’s Kathy Ireland or Martha Stewart or Paul Newman with his food business, it’s just that there aren’t that many people who are in a liquor business but then get into all these other different business, so it’s a very unique brand.
