(UPI) -- President Barack Obama took time out of his busy Florida fundraising schedule to play a round of golf with former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning Saturday.

Mourning, 43, who has previously played basketball with the president, said he was asked to choose the course. They played a round at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, where 1980's Caddyshack was filmed.

"I spent six hours in a golf cart with the most powerful man in America talking everything from basketball to life after his term," Mourning told the Sun Sentinel. "It was very surreal and enlightening.

"Considering everything on his plate, he's a decent golfer," Mourning said of the president's skills.

"To know I have a friendship with the most powerful man in the world is something I will never take for granted," he added.

The two were also joined by former U.S. trade rep Ron Kirk and friend Cyrus Walker.
