Kurylenko is currently testing for the role of the DC Comics warrior princess, although there are also reports that Jaimie Alexander, who plays Sif in Marvel’s Thor franchise, is also up for the part.
Regardless of whether she ends up as Wonder Woman, Kurylenko, who previously starred in Quantum of Solace and Oblivion, will be busy. She recently signed up for a major role in the upcoming horror film Mara and is scheduled to begin shooting in May.
The Solution Entertainment Group's Myles Nestel and Room 101's Steven Schneider will produce the film along with Mann Made Films' Scott Mann and James Edward Barker.
"'Mara' promises huge potential with the star power of Olga Kurylenko and up-and-coming horror director Clive Tonge at the helm. We're thrilled to continue our partnership with Schneider in the launch of this new 'Insidious'-type film franchise," Nestel said.
"When we started developing 'Mara' with Clive and Jonathan [Frank], we aimed to partner with a visionary like Steven Schneider. Now teamed up with him, alongside Synchronicity, and Olga's exceptional talent on board as well, we have the best possible platform to make an incredibly entertaining and chillingly crafted piece of horror,” Mann and Barker said in a statement.
