(UPI) -- In addition to being nominated to six Country Music Association Awards, Taylor Swift was also honored during the ceremony with the prestigious Pinnacle Award on Wednesday night.
The award is usually presented to artists who have achieved worldwide success and recognition through their concert performances and record sales. The 23-year-old singer already fits that description.
"I just know it had to have taken a lot of people to make this decision," Swift began her acceptance speech.
"So to the CMA to whoever made this choice you're not only rewarding my hard work and exhaustion. You're also rewarding the hard work and exhaustion of my family and my label and anyone who works with me and most of all the fans who fill stadiums. On behalf of all of those people thank you, thank you, I love you. You've made me feel so special right now. Thank you!"
In addition to the Pinnacle Award the "I Knew You Were Trouble" star took home two honors for her part in CMA Musical Event of the Year, Tim McGraw's "Highway Don't Care."
