Joni Mitchell celebrates 70th birthday by sharing old promotional clip

(UPI) -- Canadian singer and songwriter Joni Mitchell is celebrating her 70th birthday Thursday.

Mitchell began her career singing in nightclub in Canada. She moved to the United States in 1965 and reached commercial success by 1970 . She's won eight Grammy Awards and is best known for her hit singles "Big Yelow Taxi," "A Case Of You," "California," and "Got 'Til It's Gone," among many others.

In honor of her special day, her team posted an unseen promotional clip that was created for the release of her Hits and Misses album.
