Josh Brolin throws punches at a bouncer, then 'hugs it out'

(UPI) -- Josh Brolin had big Friday night.

Shortly after the Gangster Squad star mouthed off at a cab driver in the drive-thru lane of a Los Angeles Del Taco, he got into a drunken brawl with a bouncer outside O'Briens Irish Pub in Santa Monica.

TMZ obtained video of the incident, in which the 45-year-old actor flies into an intoxicated rage when the bar starts to close and he's asked to leave.

After throwing a few misguided punches, the bouncer sagely reminds him that they had previously hugged and convinces him to do it again.

Brolin told TMZ cameras a couple of days later that he was giving up booze for good.
