Boston Red Sox parade to start at Fenway Park Saturday

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino announced the Red Sox championship parade date.

(UPI) -- The Boston Red Sox earned a championship parade after winning the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday.

The parade will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. and it will begin at Fenway Park, according to Mayor Thomas Menino.

This year's exact route has yet to be confirmed, but in previous years it has gone down Boylston Street, through Copley Square and into the downtown area. According to Masslive.com Boston's famous duck boats will be part of the celebration.
