Actress and professional dancer Julianne Hough took to Twitter Saturday to apologize for wearing blackface for her Halloween costume.

Hough dressed as Crazy Eyes from "Orange is the New Black" for Friday night's Casamigos Tequila Halloween Party, complete with orange jumpsuit, badge and hair in knots, Yahoo reported.

To complete the look she darkened her face to look more like Uzo Aduba, the African-American actress who plays Crazy Eyes in the series.

Hough apologized for wearing blackface after receiving backlash for the move.

"I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize," she wrote on Twitter.
